WSP USA is seeking an experienced POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Experienced P&C Field Services Technician to support projects in Texas and Louisiana. The role covers testing, commissioning, and maintenance of protection and control systems across high voltage substations, with travel up to 80% and a focus on safety and data integrity.

You will utilize Omicron and Doble test sets, ProTesT and ENOSERV RTS software, and collaborate with field teams to ensure quality, regulatory compliance,

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the electrical testing industry, including medium/high voltage equipment.
• Experience with transmission, generation, distribution relays and protective schemes.
• Calibration and testing of microprocessor-based relays using test sets.
• Familiarity with IEEE, NETA, NFPA standards and electrical field testing practices.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Willingness to travel up to 80%.

Responsabilidades

• Perform testing and commissioning tasks for Protection and Control systems on high voltage substations.
• Conduct on-site protective relay testing using relay test sets (Omicron, Doble).
• Document site activities with field forms, digital data tools, and mobile apps.
• Maintain logs, sketches, and digital reports with attention to detail.
• Support Project Lead or Field Supervisor and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Assist in monitoring subcontractor performance and field safety compliance.
