Job summary

Arcadis seeks a Principal System Planning and Studies Engineer to lead the Power Delivery & Renewables team in North America. You will direct system studies, oversee project delivery, and collaborate with clients to align technical solutions with business goals.

This senior role requires deep knowledge of North American grid interconnection, HVDC/HVAC analysis, and leadership of a multi-disciplinary team to drive growth and innovation across projects in the United States and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 12+ years in power system planning.
• Experience with North American market operators (MISO, PJM, NYISO, CAISO, ERCOT).
• Proficient in PSCAD and PSS/E for load-flow and transient studies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the System Planning & Studies team and manage resources.
• Oversee HVAC/HVDC power systems analysis incl. load-flow and stability.
• Develop planning processes and tools to improve quality and efficiency.
• Act as Project/Proposal/Program/Account Manager and Technical Lead.
• Mentor junior engineers and engage with clients, contractors, vendors.
• Coordinate client development, account growth and project financials.
