Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal System Planning and Studies Engineer to lead the Power Delivery & Renewables team in North America. You will interface with the PD&R group, coordinate projects, and deliver advanced power system planning studies for utility and developer clients.

You will manage client engagements, oversee proposals and work closely with cross‑functional teams while mentoring staff. Some travel (up to 20%) to client sites is expected, including international locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and PE license required.
• 12+ years of experience in Power System Planning and Studies.
• Experience with North American market operators and interconnection studies; PSCAD and PSS/E proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the PD&R team and perform power system planning and studies for utility and developer clients.
• Lead HVAC and HVDC analyses, load-flow and transient stability studies.
• Mentor junior engineers and support business development and proposals.
• Engage with clients, manage projects, and ensure delivery per standards.
