Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal System Planning and Studies Engineer to lead the Power Delivery & Renewables team in North America. You will oversee system planning, interconnection studies, and HVDC/HVAC analyses, while coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines and clients to deliver robust grid solutions.

Required are a PE license, 12+ years of experience in power system planning, and proficiency with PSCAD and PSS/E.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.

Responsibilities

Manage and grow System Planning & Studies team, ensure resource planning and quality reviews.
Perform and coordinate HVAC and HVDC power systems analysis including load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability, electromagnetic transient, small-signal stability, reliability studies, interconnection studies, system impact studies.
Lead development of enhanced planning processes, methodologies and tools for quality and efficiency.
Act as Project Manager, Proposal Manager, Program Manager, Account Manager and Technical Lead to support services and business growth.
Mentor junior engineers, perform QA/QC, participate in client meetings, and support business development and project execution.
Collaborate with PD&R Leader on development plans, client development, account growth, resource planning, and financial performance.
Travel up to 20% to client sites and meetings in North America and possibly internationally.
