Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal System Planning and Studies Engineer to lead a Power Delivery & Renewable team, coordinating system planning, studies, and client engagement across North America. The role blends senior technical leadership with project management, mentorship, and cross‑team collaboration to deliver sustainable energy solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 12+ years in Power System Planning and Studies with NA policy experience.
• Experience leading planning/feasibility and interconnection studies for clients in North America.
• Proficiency with PSCAD and PSS/E; familiarity with PSLF, DigSILENT, DSA Tools.
• PE License certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow System Planning & Studies team; ensure resource planning and quality reviews.
• Perform HVAC and HVDC power system analyses including load-flow, short-circuit and transient stability.
• Lead development of planning processes, methodologies and tools for quality and efficiency.
• Act as Project/Proposal/Program/Account Manager and Technical Lead to support growth.
• Mentor junior engineers; conduct QA/QC; engage with clients, contractors and vendors.
• Collaborate with PD&R Leader on client development, growth plans and financial performance.
