Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal System Planning and Studies Engineer to join the Power Delivery & Renewables team in North America. This senior role coordinates and performs power system planning studies for utility and developer clients, ensuring high-quality engineering and delivery across projects.

The incumbent will mentor junior engineers, engage with clients, and drive project execution in accordance with Arcadis standards; travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; PE license preferred.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant Power System Planning and Studies experience in NA markets.
• Experience leading planning/feasibility and interconnection studies for utility/developer clients.
• Proficiency with PSCAD and PSS/E; familiarity with PSLF, DigSILENT or DSA Tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Power Delivery & Renewables system planning and studies for NA clients.
• Perform load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability analyses and interconnection studies.
• Develop and improve planning processes, methodologies, and tools.
• Act as Project/Program/Technical Lead and mentor junior engineers; support BD and client meetings.
