Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal System Planning and Studies Engineer to lead the Power Delivery & Renewables team in North America. The role combines technical leadership with project management, client engagement, and process improvement across power system planning and studies.

The incumbent will mentor staff, coordinate resource planning, and ensure quality assurance while collaborating with multiple Arcadis departments to deliver complex grid interconnection and planning studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 12 years of Power System Planning and Studies experience in NA markets.
• Proficient with PSCAD and PSS/E (load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability).
• PE License is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the System Planning & Studies team.
• Perform and coordinate power systems analyses (load-flow, short-circuit, stability).
• Develop planning processes, methods, and tools for efficiency and innovation.
• Act as Project/Program/Technical lead for PD&R client engagements.
