Job summary

Amazon.com LLC - A03 is seeking an experienced Power & Hardware Design Engineer to standardize power distribution and hardware for its global fulfillment network. You will lead design, analysis, and development of MDBs, PDPs, and substations, ensuring safety, reliability, and scalability across facilities.

The role emphasizes advanced power system strategies, cross-functional collaboration, and contribution to multi-year roadmaps for system evolution within OneMHS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years of power systems design, electrical engineering, and/or hardware development.
• Experience performing arc flash calculations per IEEE 1584 and NFPA 70E.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical and electrical schematics.
• Proven ability to design 3-phase power distribution for industrial or commercial facilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% (US & international).

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and optimize 3-phase power systems for material handling facilities.
• Develop MDBs, PDPs, schematics, and panel schedules to support power needs.
• Perform power quality analyses and coordination studies for reliability and safety.
• Create and maintain electrical standards and A/E drawing sets across programs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to standardize specifications.
