Job summary
Amazon is seeking an experienced Power & Hardware Design Engineer to lead power distribution standardization and hardware development for its global fulfillment network. You will design 3-phase power systems, MDBs, PDPs, and substations, perform arc flash studies, and drive multi-year roadmaps while ensuring safety and reliability across facilities.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience in power systems design and hardware development.
- Experience with large scale mechanical and power systems.
- Proficient in arc flash calculations and hazard analysis per IEEE 1584 and NFPA 70E.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% (US and international).
Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, and optimize 3-phase power systems and distribution for material handling.
- Develop and specify MDBs, PDPs, transformers, switchgear, and substations with proper protection coordination.
- Create single-line diagrams, schematics, and panel schedules for facilities and equipment.
- Perform load calculations, arc flash studies, and labeling programs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize electrical specifications and drive system roadmaps.
