Job summary
Amazon.com LLC - A03 seeks an experienced Power & Hardware Design Engineer to lead power systems standards and hardware development for its global fulfillment center network. You will design 3‑phase power systems, MDBs, PDPs, and substations, while aligning with safety, reliability, and maintenance programs across OneMHS.
The role requires deep expertise in arc flash studies, NEC/NFPA compliance, and cross‑functional collaboration with WWDE and Operations Engineering to deliver scalable,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Experience with large scale mechanical and power systems.
- Experience solving problems with technology in the Energy & Utilities industries.
- 1+ years of developing electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical (2010 or newer) or Master's degree in electrical/mechanical engineering.
- Experience in hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems.
- Experience in material handling systems (MHS) installation, operation and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, and optimize 3-phase power systems and power distribution for material handling.
- Design and specify MDBs, PDPs, and electrical substations with proper sizing and protection coordination.
- Develop single-line diagrams, power distribution schematics, and panel schedules.
