Job summary

Amazon seeks an experienced Power & Hardware Design Engineer to standardize power distribution and hardware for global fulfillment operations. You will drive 3-phase design, MDBs, PDPs, and arc‑flash safety, partnering with WWDE and cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, reliable systems.

You will lead load calculations, equipment selection, and certification alignment, while advancing OneMHS specifications and best practices across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent is required.
• Experience with large-scale power systems and material handling equipment is essential.
• Arc flash calculations and NFPA/IEEE compliance knowledge is required.
• Ability to design, review, and coordinate electrical systems across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize 3-phase power distribution for material handling facilities.
• Develop MDBs, PDPs, and electrical substation layouts with code compliance.
• Perform load calculations, arc flash studies, and labeling programs.
• Collaborate with mechanical, structural, and civil teams for integrated designs.
• Drive standardization of specifications and execution templates.
