Job summary

Eaton Corporation's Power Systems Controls group is seeking an engineer to develop, test, and implement PLC/HMI-based power systems control solutions for customers. The role involves collaboration across design, testing, and field deployment to deliver robust automation projects.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering with power distribution controls experience and will work in a hybrid setting with roughly 35% on-site activity. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Master’s degree in Engineering required with substantial power distribution controls experience.
• Minimum 7 years of power distribution controls experience with a Bachelor's, or 5 years with a Master’s, or 10+ years total experience.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, test, and deploy PLC and HMI software for power transfer applications.
• Follow customer specifications and internal specs for project implementation.
• Select components and generate bill of materials.
• Provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers for project drawings.
• Prepare submittals, SOO, and test procedures.
• Assist with factory testing and field start-ups as required.
• Troubleshoot systems not functioning properly.
