Job summary
Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems team is seeking a Power Systems Controls engineer to design, test, and deploy PLC/HMI software for power transfer applications. Hybrid role with ~35% travel, remote options vary by site. Competitive salary with paid overtime and a company vehicle.
Candidates should have a relevant engineering degree with strong power distribution controls experience and familiarity with Modbus, DNP3, and IEC-61850 protocols. PE license is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master of Engineering with power distribution controls experience.
- Regular Driver with valid license and clean MVR check.
- Familiarity with Modbus, DNP3 and IEC-61850 protocols.
- PE License preferred for advanced roles.
Responsibilities
- Create, modify, test and deploy PLC/HMI software for power transfer applications.
- Follow customer specs and lead project implementation.
- Select components and prepare BOMs for projects.
- Guide Electrical Designers on drawings and submittals.
- Develop SOO, test procedures and assist with field start-ups.
- Troubleshoot and optimize systems to ensure reliability.
