Job summary

Eaton Corporation’s Power Systems Controls (PSC) team is seeking engineers to design, test, and deploy PLC and HMI software for power transfer applications. This hybrid role requires collaboration with Electrical Designers and field start-ups.

You will follow customer specs, select components, build BOMs, prepare SOOs and test procedures, and assist with factory testing. A strong background in power distribution controls and relevant licenses is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution with a minimum 7 years of power distribution controls experience OR Master’s degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of power distribution controls experience OR a minimum 10 years of power distribution controls experience.
This role requires a current, unrestricted driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record, with a background check on hire.

Responsibilities

Create, modify, test, and deploy software for PLCs and HMIs for Power Transfer applications.
Follow customer specifications and internal specs for project implementation.
Select components and create bill of materials.
Provide sketches, mark-ups, and direction to Electrical Designers for project drawings.
Prepare customer submittals, Sequence of Operation (SOO), and test procedures.
Assist with factory testing and field start-ups.
