Job summary
Eaton Corporation’s Power Systems Controls group is seeking an engineer to develop, test, and deploy PLC/HMI software for power transfer applications (Main-Tie-Main, Main-Gen, etc.). This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work across multiple OEMs, with responsibilities spanning design support, BOM creation, and field startup assistance.
The role requires a degree in engineering with significant power distribution controls experience and a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 7+ years power distribution controls experience OR Master’s degree with 5+ years OR 10+ years total experience.
- Unrestricted driver’s license with clean Motor Vehicle Record; background check per hire.
Responsibilities
- Create, modify, test, and deploy PLC/HMI software for Power Transfer applications.
- Follow customer and internal specifications for project implementation.
- Select components and create bill of materials.
- Provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers for project drawings.
- Prepare submittals, SOO, and test procedures.
- Assist with factory testing and field start-ups as required.
- Troubleshoot systems that are not functioning properly.
