Job summary

Eaton Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineer for the Power Systems Controls group to lead development, testing, and deployment of PLC/HMI software for power transfer applications such as Main-Tie-Main and Paralleling Switchgears. Join a team that integrates HMIs, PLCs, protective relays, and components into complete automation solutions.

The role focuses on following specifications, selecting components, and guiding Electrical Designers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 7+ years in power distribution controls, OR Master’s degree with 5+ years, OR 10+ years in power distribution controls.
• Requires a current, unrestricted driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, test, and deploy PLC/HMI software for power transfer applications.
• Follow customer and internal specifications for project implementation.
• Select components and create bill of materials.
• Provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers for project drawings.
• Prepare submittals, SOO, and test procedures.
• Assist with factory testing and field start-ups.
• Troubleshoot non‑functioning systems.
