Job summary

Eaton Corporation in the United States is seeking an experienced engineer to lead development, testing, and implementation of power systems control solutions using PLCs, HMIs, and protection relays. The role combines software development with field start-ups and troubleshooting in a hybrid work environment.

The candidate will design and deploy control systems for power transfer applications, create BOMs, and work with Electrical Designers to produce project drawings and SOOs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 7+ years in power distribution controls.
• Master’s degree in Engineering with 5+ years in power distribution controls.
• 10 years of power distribution controls experience total.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, test, and deploy software for PLCs and HMIs for Power Transfer applications.
• Follow customer and internal specifications for project implementation.
• Select components and create bill of materials.
• Provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers for project drawings.
• Prepare submittals, SOO, and test procedures.
• Assist with factory testing and field start-ups.
• Troubleshoot systems that are not functioning properly.
