Job summary

Eaton Corporation's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) team in Massachusetts is seeking an engineer to develop, test, and deploy PLC and HMI software for power transfer applications such as Main-Tie-Main and Paralleling Switchgears. This hybrid role requires collaboration with electrical designers and field start-ups.

You will specify components, create BOMs, prepare SOOs and test procedures, and support factory testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 7+ years in power distribution controls.
• Master’s degree in Engineering with 5+ years in power distribution controls.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, test, and deploy PLC and HMI software for power transfer applications.
• Follow customer specifications and internal project requirements.
• Select components and create bill of materials.
• Provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers for project drawings.
• Prepare SOOs, test procedures, and customer submittals.
• Assist with factory testing and field start‑ups as required.
• Troubleshoot systems and resolve issues during deployment.
