Job summary
Eaton Corporation's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) team seeks an experienced power systems controls professional to design, test, and deploy PLC and HMI software for power transfer applications. You will work across Main-Tie-Main, Paralleling Switchgear projects, and coordinate with electrical designers to meet customer specs.
The role requires strong knowledge of control systems, protocols, and safety programs, with a hybrid work model and ample opportunity for field work and
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution with power distribution controls experience.
- Master’s degree in Engineering with power distribution controls experience.
- 10 years of power distribution controls experience or 7+ years with a bachelor’s plus related senior roles.
Responsibilities
- Create, modify, test, and deploy PLCs and HMIs for Power Transfer applications.
- Follow customer and internal specifications for project implementation.
- Select components and create bill of materials.
- Provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers for project drawings.
- Prepare SOO, test procedures, and customer submittals.
- Assist with factory testing and field start-ups.
- Troubleshoot systems that are not functioning properly.
