Job summary

Eaton Corporation's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) team seeks an experienced engineer to develop, test, and deploy PLC and HMI software for power transfer applications. You will follow detailed specifications, select components, and guide electrical designers to deliver robust control solutions across major OEMs.

The role requires strong power distribution controls experience, a Bachelor's or higher in engineering, and a valid driver's license with an MVR check.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 7+ years power distribution controls experience or Master's with 5+ years, or 10+ years experience.
Current, unrestricted driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Record; background check.
PE license preferred; knowledge of power monitoring and control systems and protocols (Modbus, DNP3, IEC-61850).

Responsibilities

Create, modify, test, and deploy PLC/HMI software for Power Transfer applications.
Follow customer and internal specifications for project implementation.
Select components and create BOM; provide sketches and direction for Electrical Designers.
Prepare SOO, test procedures, and customer submittals.
Assist with factory testing and field start-ups; troubleshoot systems.
