Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) seeks a Senior Power Systems Architect to lead system-level power architecture discussions with hyperscalers and partners. You will translate architectures into connector and cable specifications, guiding product development and design-in activities across internal teams.

You will own technical relationships for key customers, gather requirements, and help shape roadmaps while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years of experience in power connector, systems engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Master’s degree with 3-6 years of experience in power connector, systems engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience translating system-level power architecture requirements into connector/cable specifications.
• Working knowledge of high-voltage/high-current interconnect design principles for data centre or similar power infrastructure.
• Proven history of independently managing a customer technical relationship.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for direct, unsupervised customer engagement.
• Willingness to travel to customer and manufacturing sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Independently own the technical requirements-gathering relationship with customer engineering teams.
• Translate system-level power architecture into connector and cable technology requirements to define product development.
• Lead power architecture discussions with customer engineering teams, presenting options and roadmaps.
• Partner with product engineering, manufacturing, and R&D to shape roadmap decisions.
• Develop and own technical requirement documents and specification inputs.
• Lead qualification, validation, and design-in activities at customer sites.
• Track and contribute to industry standards (e.g., OCP) that shape roadmaps.
• Deliver customer and market insight back into internal roadmap and development.
• Mentor Associate Engineers and review their outputs.
• Identify architecture shifts early to influence internal roadmap.
