Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Senior Power Systems Architect to drive customer power-architecture requirements and translate them into connector and cable solutions. You will lead technical discussions and align roadmap with customer needs.

Travel to customer and manufacturing sites is expected. You will collaborate across product, R&D, and applications engineering, mentoring junior engineers and shaping design-in strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in power connector, systems engineering, or related field.
• Master’s degree with 3–6 years of experience in power connector, systems engineering, or related field.
• Experience translating system-level power architecture requirements into connector/cable specifications.
• Working knowledge of high-voltage/high-current interconnect design principles for data center or similar power infrastructure.
• Proven history of managing a customer technical relationship.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for direct customer engagement.
• Willingness to travel to customer and manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical requirements-gathering relationship with customer teams for power architecture requirements.
• Translate system-level power architecture into connector and cable technology requirements for product development.
• Lead power architecture discussions with customer teams and present solution options and roadmap alignment.
• Collaborate with product engineering, manufacturing, and R&D to shape roadmap decisions.
• Develop and own technical requirement documents and specification inputs for new product development.
• Lead qualification, validation, and design-in activities for new power interconnect solutions at customer sites.
• Track and contribute to industry standards and consortia shaping power delivery roadmaps.
• Deliver voice of customer insights back into internal roadmap and development.
