Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) seeks a Staff Power Systems Architect to bridge system-level power architecture with connector/cable interconnect engineering. You’ll interface with hyperscalers and OEM partners to translate requirements into power interconnect solutions and drive strategic roadmaps.

The role requires deep HV/HF power knowledge, senior-level communication, and travel to domestic and international sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Bachelor's degree with 10-12 years in power connector/systems engineering.
• Master's degree with >8 years in power connector/systems engineering.
• Deep expertise in high-voltage/high-current power architecture for data center/industrial infrastructure.
• Experience owning strategic technical relationships at senior engineering level.
• Experience representing a company within industry standards organizations.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor engineers and influence roadmap decisions.
• Executive-level written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Set strategy for technical requirements gathering and strengthen customer engineering relationships.
• Lead translation of system-level power architectures into connector/cable requirements for product development.
• Serve as senior technical spokesperson for power architecture discussions with customer leadership.
• Shape multi-year connector/cable roadmap and investment decisions.
• Define specification frameworks and documentation standards for new product development and design-in.
• Provide final technical escalation for complex qualification, validation, and design-in challenges.
• Represent the organization in industry standards bodies and consortia (e.g., OCP).
• Provide strategic customer and market insight to shape long-range roadmap and new product development planning.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across the technical team.
• Identify long-term architecture shifts and translate into roadmap/investment recommendations.
