Job summary
Black & Veatch is seeking an experienced Senior Power System Protection Engineer to join the Protective Relay Settings Team. The role requires extensive knowledge of Protection & Control design, relay setting calculations, and power system analysis.
You will develop setpoints and work with multiple relay platforms while modeling power systems. The position offers opportunities across several locations with a focus on leadership, technical excellence, and delivering essential infrastructure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
- Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred or required where applicable.
- Experience with Protection & Control design concepts and relay settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance on design guides, standards and client requirements.
- Ensure quality program compliance and promote continuous improvement.
- Prepare complex engineering deliverables for multiple projects and manage data.
- Develop protection and control solutions and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with internal/external teams to ensure project success.
- Mentor junior staff and lead small project teams.
