Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an experienced Senior Power System Protection Engineer with 11–15 years of experience to join our Protective Relay Settings Team. You will develop protective setpoints, work with modeling software, and create downloadable setpoint files across proprietary relay platforms.

Qualifications

11+ years of experience in Transmission/Protection & Control.
Active engineering registration/licensure to support engineer of record requirements.
Experience with protection schemes and relay setting calculations.
Experience with system modeling software: ASPEN, CAPE, CYME, ETAP, SKM.

Responsibilities

Develop protective setpoints per industry standards and client requirements.
Create and manipulate logic for protection and control schemes.
Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams on complex projects.
Lead small project activities including schedule and budget management.
Prepare complex engineering calculations and deliverables for mega projects.
