Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an experienced Senior Power System Protection Engineer with 11-15 years of experience to join our Protective Relay Settings Team. The ideal candidate has extensive working knowledge of Protection & Control (P&C) design concepts, relay setting calculations / file development, relay manufacturer software platforms, and power system analysis & modeling software.

You will develop protective setpoints per industry standards, collaborate with system modeling software programs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 11+ years of related experience in transmission/Power System Protection.
• Strong knowledge of Protection & Control design concepts and relay settings.

Responsibilities

• Proactively provides guidance on design guides, standards, and codes.
• Prepares complex engineering deliverables and calculations for projects.
• Develops and applies advanced engineering solutions to protection schemes.
• Coordinates with internal/external teams on complex projects.
• Mentors junior staff and supports project planning and budgeting.
