Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Power System Protection Engineer with 1-4 years' experience to join our Protective Relay Settings team. The candidate should understand Protection & Control design concepts and relay settings calculations and software.

The role involves working with modeling software such as ASPEN, CAPE, CYME, ETAP, SKM, and developing downloadable setpoint files on SEL AcSELerator Quickset and GE Enervista. Opportunities to mentor entry level professionals are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum 1 year related work experience.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding including background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Develop protective setpoints per industry standards and client requirements.
• Contribute to system modeling using ASPEN, CAPE, CYME, ETAP, or SKM.
• Develop downloadable setpoint files on relay manufacturer platforms.
• Collaborate with project teams and other disciplines on design details.
