Job summary

Electrical Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Protection Engineer to deliver power system protection services including model development, short circuit analysis, and relay settings development. The role also involves area coordination studies, standards development, and relay operation analysis.

You will mentor less experienced engineers through direct training and technical reviews, contributing to project schedules and quality assurance.

Qualifications

BSEE or equivalent degree required.
At least 5 years of protection engineering experience.
Experience with SEL relay settings.
Experience with ASPEN OneLiner or PSSE CAPE.
Strong verbal and written communication.
Strong organization and planning skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Willingness to meet fast-paced project schedules.
Occasional travel; must meet auto insurance carrier requirements.
No visa sponsorship required now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Provide protection engineering services: model development, short circuit analysis, relay settings development.
Perform area coordination studies and standards development.
Analyze relay operations and drawings/relay settings.
