Job summary

Arcadis seeks a Sr. Power System Planning & Study Engineer to join the Power Delivery team in the USA. The role develops and coordinates studies, interconnection planning, and HVDC/HVAC feasibility analyses for North American clients and global projects.

The candidate will perform load-flow, short-circuit, and transient analyses, collaborate with multiple Arcadis units, and travel up to 25% to client sites. A strong background in NA market operators is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years of direct power system study experience.
• Proficient with PSS/E, PSCAD, and load-flow/short-circuit analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex power system study and planning projects for clients.
• Perform load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability analyses.
• Conduct planning and transient studies to meet standards and practice.
• Deliver reports and QA on client deliverables with accuracy.
• Coordinate with Arcadis teams for cross-selling and staffing.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals.
