Job summary

Arcadis seeks a Sr. Power System Planning & Study Engineer to join our Power Delivery team in the USA.

You will coordinate and perform power system studies, including HVDC planning, load-flow, and stability analyses for North American clients, delivering high-quality reports and coordinating with substation, transmission, and renewables groups. You will lead project scopes, budgets, and cross-team collaboration, with up to 25% travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Electrical Engineering required; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years of direct experience in power system study analysis and planning.
• Proficient with PSS/E, PSCAD; experience with PSLF, DigSILENT, TARA, DSA Tools preferred.
• Familiar with NA market operators and interconnection standards (MISO, PJM, CAISO, ERCOT, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Support and deliver complex power system study projects for various clients.
• Perform load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability analyses and system performance studies.
• Ensure high-quality reports, deliverables, and QA on client studies.
• Coordinate with Arcadis teams for cross-selling and staffing opportunities.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals.
