Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Sr. Power System Planning & Study Engineer to join the Power Delivery team in the USA.

The role coordinates the Power System Planning & Study group, performs interconnection and transient studies, and collaborates with related units for comprehensive power system analyses for North America and beyond. This technical position requires proficiency in load-flow, short-circuit, and stability analyses, with up to 25% travel to client sites.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
Minimum 8 years of direct experience in power system study analysis and planning.
Proficient with PSS/E and PSCAD; familiar with PSLF, DigSILENT, or DSA Tools is desirable.
Familiar with NA grid operators (MISO, PJM, NE-ISO, NY-ISO, CAISO, ERCOT, SSP, AESO, IESO) policies and criteria.

Responsibilities

Support, develop, and deliver complex power system study and planning projects for various clients.
Perform load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability and electromagnetic transient analyses.
Conduct planning and transient studies for compliance with standards and good engineering practice.
Deliver accurate client reports and study deliverables meeting industry standards and QA.
Coordinate with Arcadis Business Units for cross-selling and staffing opportunities.
Develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals.
