Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Sr. Power System Planning & Study Engineer to join the Power Delivery team in the USA. The role centers on coordinating and developing planning studies, interconnection analyses, and HV/MV system reviews for clients across North America and globally.

Collaboration with Substation, Transmission, Protection & Control, and Renewables teams is essential. You will lead complex analyses (load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability) and deliver client-ready reports, ensuring QA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years of direct experience in power system study analysis and planning.
• Proficient with PSS/E, PSCAD; familiarity with alternative planning software.
• Knowledge of NA market operators (MISO, PJM, NE-ISO, NY-ISO, CAISO, ERCOT, AESO, IESO).

Responsibilities

• Support, develop, and deliver complex power system study and planning projects.
• Perform load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability, and related analyses.
• Conduct planning and transient studies for compliance with standards.
• Deliver high-quality reports, QA on client deliverables, and proposals.
• Coordinate across Arcadis units for cross-selling and staffing.
• Travel up to 25% to client sites and meetings, mainly in North America.
