Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a highly motivated Principal System Planning and Studies Engineer to join the Power Delivery & Renewable team in North America. The role involves direct interaction with the System Planning and Studies group, project engineering, proposals, and business development.

It requires leadership and technical excellence across power system planning and studies. The incumbent will mentor junior engineers, oversee quality assurance, and coordinate with substation, protection & control,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 12 years in Power System Planning and Studies in North America.
• Experience in planning/feasibility and interconnection studies for utility and developers.
• Proficient with PSCAD and PSS/E; familiar with PSLF, DigSILENT, DSA Tools; PE license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the System Planning & Studies team on large projects.
• Coordinate HVAC and HVDC power system analyses and interconnection studies.
• Develop advanced planning processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Serve as Project/Proposal/Program/Account Manager and Technical Lead.
