Job summary

Arcadis seeks a Principal System Planning and Studies Engineer to lead the Power Delivery & Renewables team in North America. This senior role coordinates planning activities, studies, and project execution with clients and engineers.

You will mentor staff, drive process improvements, and manage proposals while ensuring compliance with codes and Arcadis policies. Up to 20% travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 12+ years of relevant Power System Planning and Studies experience in North America.
• Experience leading planning/feasibility and interconnection studies for utility and developer clients.
• Proficiency with PSCAD and PSS/E including load-flow, short-circuit and transient analyses.

Responsibilities

• Lead/oversee System Planning & Studies team in Power Delivery & Renewables.
• Coordinate HVAC and HVDC power system analyses and studies.
• Develop and improve planning processes, methodologies, and tools.
• Act as Project/Proposal/Program/Account Manager and Technical Lead.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure QA/QC of work.
• Collaborate with client, contractors, and vendors for business development and execution.
