Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a General Superintendent – Power to provide field leadership and operational oversight for natural gas and thermal power generation projects. You will develop project plans, direct field operations, manage subcontractors, and coordinate site activities to meet schedule, budget and performance goals.

As a senior field leader, you will mentor field teams, build relationships with trade partners, and ensure alignment with commissioning teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Preferred).
• 12+ years construction experience.
• Experience leading Lean principles on projects (Preferred).
• Experience coordinating startup and commissioning activities for complex mechanical/electrical systems.
• Proven leadership on projects involving large-scale rigging operations, heavy mechanical installations, and high-energy systems.

Responsibilities

• Leads all aspects of safety culture and mentors staff.
• Coordinates with owners, design teams, authorities, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Manages project filing, documentation, drawings, logs and inspections.
• Oversees self-perform work, cost reporting and progress tracking.
• Ensures QA/QC and safety compliance across project phases.
• Supports project closeouts with turnover packages and commissioning.
• Leads field staffing planning and coordination with management.
