Job summary

JE Dunn Construction seeks an experienced General Superintendent – Power to lead field operations on natural gas and thermal power generation projects. You will direct subcontractors, manage schedules and ensure safe, high-quality delivery across all construction phases.

You will apply deep knowledge of power-sector construction, coordinate startup activities with commissioning teams, and mentor field staff while collaborating with clients, OEMs and engineering partners to achieve project goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (preferred).
• 12+ years of construction experience.
• Experience leading major power generation projects from pursuit to closeout.
• Experience coordinating startup and commissioning activities for complex mechanical/electrical systems.
• Proven leadership on projects involving large-scale rigging operations and high-energy systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and ensure injury-free environment; mentor staff.
• Coordinate information flow among owners, design team, authorities, subcontractors.
• Manage project documentation, logs and reporting.
• Oversee field operations, scheduling, cost control and subcontractor performance.
• Support procurement processes and project buy-out activities.
• Lead field staffing, change management and commissioning coordination.
