Job summary

Fluidstack seeks a senior role in the Power Generation Team to drive the deployment of islanded and grid-connected generation blocks for AI compute infrastructure. You will define interfaces, qualify engines or fuel cells, and lead installation to first fire.

Qualifications

• Evaluated competing prime movers (engines, turbines, or fuel cells) for real projects and selected the best option.
• Wrote equipment specifications and acceptance tests, and validated units against them.
• Managed distributed generation in operation (data centers, mining, island utilities) and adjusted operations for efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own installation and commissioning of generation fleet through first fire and load testing.
• Define standard interfaces turning engines/turbines into interchangeable nodes in the site array.
• Decide fuel-based capacity, sizing, and redundancy for firming and backup roles.
• Write specs and tests for qualified units; oversee factory and site acceptance.
• Manage fleet performance: heat rate, availability, and maintenance costs; influence overhaul intervals.
