Job summary

Fluidstack is hiring for a high-impact role within the Power Generation Team in the United States. You will own the power conversion layer across storage and solar, PCS and inverter topology, setting the standards and driving end-to-end electrification for grid-scale deployments.

You will lead the development of inverter specifications, verify vendor performance against the spec, and supervise field energization, islanding tests, and step-load trials to ensure robust, safe operation across

Qualifications

• Experience converting power-conversion specs to energized, dispatching grid-scale storage or solar projects.
• Ability to define inverter/PCS specs and enforce vendor conformance.
• Field debugging using scope traces, PQ captures, event records, firmware changes.
• Proven track in validating grid-forming operation for islanded plants.
• Strong ability to communicate decisions to OEMs, engineers, and executives.

Responsibilities

• Own the power conversion layer across storage, solar, PCS, and inverter topology.
• Lead specification writing, vendor bid evaluation, and factory/warranty testing.
• Define control requirements for firm load, grid-forming, ride-through, and reactive capability.
• Lead field energization, commissioning, islanding tests, and step-load trials.
