Job summary

Fluidstack is delivering large-scale power generation for AI workloads, owning engines, turbines and fuel cells and integrating them with PV and storage. The role focuses on qualifying technologies, defining standard interfaces, sizing blocks, and writing tests while driving uptime and efficiency.

You will lead a team to install, commission, and operate the fleet, optimize heat rate, and push for lowest fuel burn across the fleet.

Qualifications

• You have evaluated prime movers from several OEMs on a real project.
• You've written equipment specs and acceptance tests and overseen factory/site acceptance.
• You've owned distributed generation operations in critical environments.
• You've integrated fuel-based generation with inverter-based resources.
• You've commissioned generation through first fire and load testing.
• You've worked across multiple generation fuels/technologies.
• You write clearly so OEMs, technicians and executives can use the same document.

Responsibilities

• Assess and qualify every fuel-oxidation generation technology worth considering for our blocks.
• Set the standard interface turning engines, turbines or fuel cells into an interchangeable node.
• Decide block fuel capacity, unit sizes and redundancy for firming and backup.
• Write technical specs and acceptance tests for each qualified unit, covering load and emissions.
• Own installation and commissioning through first fire and handover to operations.
• Run the fleet for long life, tracking heat rate, availability and maintenance cost.
• Hire rotating equipment engineers to extend qualification and operations work.
