Job summary

WSP USA in Richmond, VA seeks a Senior Power Delivery Project Manager to lead complex utility projects across transmission, distribution, and substations. You will drive planning, procurement, construction, scheduling, and cost control while coordinating with IOUs, IPPs, and public power clients.

Responsibilities include governance, QA/QC, risk management, and client reporting. Travel to client sites and offices is required; remote work within the region is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 12+ years of progressive post-education experience in project management or senior technical leadership.
• Strong background in Power Delivery, T&D, substation, or utility capital projects.
• Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, cost, risk, and client objectives.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership for large-scale utility projects across transmission, distribution, and substation scopes.
• Develop stakeholder engagement strategies and report on status, risks, and performance.
• Support Go/No-Go decisions, contract and commercial reviews, and pricing strategies.
• Lead technical and constructability reviews and ensure QA/QC compliance.
• Mentor and coach project staff and manage staffing and resource needs.
• Maintain governance for PM systems and documentation and lead kick-off and alignment meetings.
• Monitor AR, unbilled revenue, cash flow, and invoicing; support financial health of projects.
• Complete formal project closeout activities and conduct lessons-learned workshops.
• Stay current on PM best practices and Power Delivery industry standards.
• Travel to client sites and regional offices as needed.
