Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Power Delivery Project Manager to lead large-scale utility transmission, distribution, and substation initiatives. The role oversees proposal development, planning, procurement, construction, schedule and cost control, and closeout within a region, ensuring QA/QC and regulatory compliance.

The position is based in Richmond, VA with regional remote work options and occasional travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• 12+ years of progressive post-education experience in a project management or senior technical leadership role, preferably in power delivery.
• Strong understanding of the project delivery lifecycle within A/E/C and utility industries, including proposal development and project closeout.
• Analytical and organizational skills with business and commercial acumen.
• Effective communication with executive leadership, utility clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide Power Delivery project management leadership for large-scale utility projects including budgets, forecasts, margins, and KPIs.
• Develop stakeholder engagement and reporting strategies for clients, leadership, and regulators.
• Support pursuit, initiation, and startup phases with Go/No-Go decisions and contract reviews.
• Lead technical and constructability reviews and ensure QA/QC compliance.
• Maintain governance for project management systems, risk registers, and progress reporting.
• Coordinate staffing, subcontracting, and resource needs across Power Delivery programs.
• Monitor AR, unbilled revenue, cash flow, and invoicing with project accounting.
