Job summary

JE Dunn Construction, through its Advanced Facilities Group, seeks a General Superintendent – Power to lead field operations on natural gas and thermal power projects. You will oversee safety, schedule, budget, subcontractors, and coordination with engineering and commissioning teams to deliver complex installations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field and 12+ years of construction experience, including heavy power-generation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Preferred).
• 12+ years construction experience.
• Experience leading Lean principles on projects (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Leads all aspects of the company’s safety culture and creates awareness by demonstrating commitment to an injury‑free environment through individual actions and mentoring others.
• Communicates key project information to owners, design team, governing authorities, subcontractors, suppliers and other departments.
• Follows the project filing and documentation organization system as dictated for the project.
• Manages material and equipment needs for the project.
• Oversees installation of major power‑plant systems including gas turbines, steam turbines, HRSG components, balance‑of‑plant equipment, and associated mechanical/electrical systems.
• Collaborates closely with commissioning teams to coordinate turnover packages, manage system walk‑downs, and support startup and testing activities.
