Job summary

California Bank of Commerce is seeking a Commercial Lending Relationship Manager to oversee a portfolio of loan and deposit relationships, including recommending loans for approval and maintaining credit quality.

You will collaborate with Relationship Managers to grow revenue, cross-sell bank products, and guide Credit Analysts in underwriting responsibilities. A focus on compliance, customer service, and community involvement is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years of commercial lending experience.
• Broad knowledge of banking operations, products, and services.
• Strong relationship management, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Retain and expand relationships with existing customers.
• Prospect for and close new business relationships with Relationship Managers.
• Grow net revenue year over year as directed by Senior Management.
• Provide training/coaching to Credit Analysts as assigned.
• Manage credit quality, underwrite and recommend new/existing relationships per policy.
• Coordinate with product specialists as needed to meet client needs.
• Resolve customer problems and liaise with other departments for service excellence.
• Develop/implement strategies for cross-selling loan, deposit and cash management products.
• Stay current on lending policies and bank products/services.
• Participate in community and CRA activities to promote the Company’s brand.
• Ensure compliance with ethics, BSA/AML, USA Patriot Act and security policies.
• Attend corporate training and follow suspicious activity processes.
• Engage with customers to understand their typical account activity.
