Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Portfolio Delivery Leader (PDL) within Professional Services’ Delivery Account Management for the Public Sector. You will oversee a defined portfolio of paid engagements, ensuring delivery health, financial performance, and executive client relationships across sales, solutioning, delivery, and resource teams.

The role allocates ~50% to direct customer engagement and ~50% to portfolio governance, with a 25% utilization target.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to manage delivery health, revenue, margin, and customer outcomes across a complex portfolio.
• Strong financial acumen including revenue forecasting, contingency management, and margin protection.
• Proven ability to build executive customer relationships and stabilize at-risk engagements.
• Experience assessing deal readiness before contract execution, including scope, estimates, staffing, dependencies, and success criteria.
• Ability to drive decisions across a matrixed organization without direct people management authority.
• Strong escalation management, conflict resolution, and executive communication skills.
• Experience governing fixed-fee delivery, including milestone attainment and scope changes.

Responsibilities

• Own portfolio health and maintain forward-looking view of engagements, identifying risks and driving corrective actions.
• Ensure deals are ready for delivery with Level 3 delivery sign-off and documented assumptions.
• Protect revenue and margin by reviewing forecasts, burn rates, milestones, and scope control.
• Lead Services Delivery Strategy reviews and provide portfolio assessments with clear decisions needed from leadership.
• Build executive trust with sponsors and leaders, aligning delivery to mission outcomes and guiding critical decisions.
• Lead escalations and mobilize cross-functional leaders to recovery plans and exit criteria.
• Partner to secure staffing, address gaps, and escalate capacity constraints affecting commitments.
• Identify opportunities for account growth through delivery insights and client relationships.
