Job summary
Electrical Automation Services is hiring a PLC Controls Engineer for our Glendale, AZ facility. This on-site role focuses on programming and troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs on high-speed beverage lines, with 12-hour day rotations.
You will mentor technicians, lead automation projects, and coordinate with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to improve safety, reliability, and throughput. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in engineering technology, industrial automation or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of industrial automation/controls on high-speed production lines.
- Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls and automation expert for high-speed beverage production equipment.
- Provide Tier 1 and 2 troubleshooting for PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and network issues.
- Diagnose and implement permanent corrective actions; lead automation-focused improvement projects.
- Maintain backups, documentation, and change records; mentor maintenance technicians and operators.
