Job summary
Electrical Automation Services seeks an experienced PLC Controls Engineer for its Glendale, AZ plant. You will program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs on high-speed beverage lines, writing ladder logic and supporting production equipment on a day shift.
The role requires hands-on PLC programming (ControlLogix/CompactLogix), 4+ years in industrial automation, and expertise with HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and EtherNet/IP networks. A 12-hour 2-2-3 rotation and relocation assistance are included.
Qualifications
- Hands-on PLC programming; write and modify ladder logic.
- 4+ years of industrial automation on high-speed lines.
- Strong PLC/HMI/VFD/servo and industrial-network troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls and automation expert.
- Provide Tier 1–2 troubleshooting for processing and packaging equipment.
- Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and network issues and restore production.
- Implement permanent corrective actions in PLC/HMI programs.
- Lead controls projects to improve safety, quality, reliability, and throughput.
- Maintain backups, drawings, and change records.
- Support commissioning, upgrades, new installations, and system integration.
