Job summary
Electrical Automation Services is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer for an on-site Glendale, AZ plant. You will program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs on high-speed beverage lines, performing ladder logic changes and HMIs during 12-hour day rotations.
You will mentor operators and maintenance staff, manage documentation, and lead automation-focused improvements across safety, quality, and throughput. This is a salaried role with relocation assistance and a 20% target bonus.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent in engineering technology or automation related field.
- 4+ years in industrial automation on high-speed manufacturing lines.
- Hands-on PLC programming and troubleshooting with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
- Strong communication and跨-department collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls and automation expert for beverage/packaging lines.
- Provide Tier 1 and 2 troubleshooting for PLC, HMI, and network issues.
- Develop PLC/HMI code changes to improve safety, quality and throughput.
- Mentor maintenance technicians and operators in controls practices.
- Maintain backups, drawings, and change records; participate in MOC process.
- Support commissioning, upgrades, and system integration projects.
