Job summary
Electrical Automation Services is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer for an on-site Glendale, AZ facility. You will program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs on high-speed beverage lines and mentor technicians across maintenance and operations.
This role requires 4+ years in industrial automation, with ability to write ladder logic, interpret schematics, and work a 12-hour 2-2-3 night shift. Relocation assistance is available and a strong benefits package is offered.
Qualifications
- Hands-on PLC programming, write/modify ladder logic
- Experience on high-speed beverage/packaging lines preferred
- Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings
- Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts 2-2-3 rotation
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls expert for automated processing, filling, canning and packaging equipment
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo and motion systems
- Develop and implement PLC/HMI changes to improve safety, quality and throughput
- Maintain documentation, backups, and change records; participate in MOC process
- Mentor maintenance technicians and operators in controls best practices
