Fuze Health is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead architectural vision across our engineering organization. You will guide the design of high-volume, scalable systems using AWS, PostgreSQL, Ruby on Rails, Python, and TypeScript/JavaScript to support our digital pharmacy and API-powered platforms.

This role includes mentoring Staff/Senior engineers, setting engineering standards, and partnering with Product, Pharmacy Ops, and InfoSec to ensure HIPAA and SOC2 compliance while delivering reliable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in CS/related field and 10+ years in software engineering.
• Experience building distributed, high-throughput B2B SaaS or transactional systems.
• Deep knowledge of healthcare tech standards (HL7, FHIR, NCPDP) and EHR integrations.

Responsabilités

• Define and evolve target architecture for core platforms and APIs.
• Mentor staff engineers and enforce design reviews and best practices.
• Establish engineering standards, CI/CD, testing, and security-by-design.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering Managers, and Pharmacy Ops on goals.
• Ensure HIPAA/SOC2 alignment and data privacy across systems.
• Drive performance, reduce latency, and optimize PostgreSQL/AWS.
• Evaluate new tools and AWS services with proof-of-concepts.
