Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Principal Engineer to shape the technical vision across engineering, driving scalable, secure systems for our digital pharmacy and care platforms. You will lead across squads, mentor engineers, and align architecture with business goals.

Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will work with AWS, PostgreSQL, RoR, Python, and TS/JS to ensure high throughput, reliability, and HIPAA/SOC2-aligned compliance while expanding our ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, software engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in software engineering with 3+ years at Staff/Principal level.
• Extensive background in building distributed, high-throughput B2B SaaS or transactional systems.
• Mastery of AWS, PostgreSQL, Ruby on Rails, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, SOC2 and healthcare compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architectural vision and strategy for core platforms and APIs.
• Lead design and implementation of high‑volume, scalable systems.
• Mentor and lead senior engineers; drive design reviews and best practices.
• Enforce standards: CI/CD, testing, security-by-design across teams.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering Managers, and Operations.
